Bean Sprouts and Hot Beef with Vegetables

About the Recipe

Chunk full of flavor, protein-packed, and easy to prepare. Lighten up your dinner with this healthy and light recipe.

Ingredients

· 1 sliced spring onion

· 1/4 hand sized bunch of chopped coriander

· 1 ½ lettuce

· 1 grated carrot

· 2 tsp olive oil

· 1 diced celery stem

· 300g (10 ounces/ 0.6 pounds) of minced beef

· 1 cup of bean sprouts

· 1 finely chopped garlic clove

· 1/4 cabbage with thin slice

· 1/5 cup of hoisin sauce

Preparation

Step 1:

Preparing the Beef

For 3-4 minutes, fry the minced beef on a frying pan on a medium flame. Add salt and pepper to taste then set it aside.


Step 2:

Preparing the vegetables

On the same pan, add the remaining oil then toss in the celery, garlic, and cabbage then cook until soft. Drizzle some hoisin sauce then add the meat back to the pan. Cook for a minute.

Afterwards, toss in the carrots, bean sprouts, and spring onions as you add pepper and salt to taste.

Serving

Place the beef mixture on the lettuce leaves. Serve when hot.
